Intercontinental flight food and beverage service?
What type of food and beverage service do you get on an intercontenential flight from Detroit to Philippines? I've only traveled with in the contential U.S. and if you are not First Class, you get nothing than peanuts and juice.

depends what air company flies you! Don't be afraid!! You will get food enough and drink too! I know the domestic hospitality is under the bug ass. They wanted to charge me for $7 for a cup of coke on the way from Atlanta to NYC. They are horrible!!!!!!

I you are flying over a few ours then you should a meal or two (depending on length of flight). Put it like this, when you get on th eplane set your watchto the time of your destination. Then whenever it's lunchtime or dinner time you should be served a meal. Drinks are available with the meal, and they shuold also offer drinks inbetween meals. I've only flew UK to US, 7 hours, and gotten a meal within an hour of taking off and then another about an hour before landing (depending on th eairline, sometimes a snack too!) We get a drink with the meals. Some airlines will charge you for alcoholic drinks, some arilines will charge you for every drink that is not with a meal.

When you fly long-haul international it's a different ball game, forget US domestic. As said, it will vary a bit between airlines but most follow the following schema: 1. Drink round about 30-60 min after take off 2. Meal service 3. Another drink run 4. Meal service 1-2 hours before arriving Most airlines do not charge for drinks meals, it's included in the ticket price. You do not mention which airline you're flying with. Check their web page for service details. Also check out http://www.flyertalk.com and its forum, lots of frequent flyers from all over the world discussing everything airline related.
