Flying on Northwest from Detroit to Heathrow

Flying on Northwest from Detroit to Heathrow?
Has anyone flown this flight? I have never flown internationally and am curious on food, movies, etc. The flight leaves Detroit at 6;30 pm and arrives in London at 7 a.m. I know they encourage you to sleep, but what about movies, food service, etc? Do they charge for the movies? Any info would be of assistance. Thank you.

Northwest normally uses A330 aircraft on this route. The A330 has individual screens at each seat and a choice of movies, so you can decide what to watch. You can find a current list of movies on Northwest's website at this link: http://www.nwa.com/services/onboard/movies/pvs/ However, the list will change if you're not traveling for a few months. They still have food service on international flights at no extra charge. However, don't expect anything special. The meal will be small and possibly not very good. I frequently carry snacks in my carry-on bag just in case.

The NWA website has most of the info you are asking for: http://www.nwa.com/services/onboard/inflight_main.html Go to http://www.seatguru.com/ for seat selection suggestions. You need to know the exact model of the aircraft. Hope you have a great trip!
