flight from sydney to detroit?
Im saving to see a friend in Detroit, first time out of oz, just want to know to travel time and is there anyway i can make my flight a little less longer.

The shortest time I could find on the Qantas website is 24 hours and 5 minutes. Sydney to San Francisco and San Francisco to Detroit. You have a three hour wait at San Francisco Airport for your connecting flight. You might be able to save a bit of time if you can find a connecting flight between San Francisco and Detroit that leaves earlier.

Are you going to be flying directly to Detroit or will you be making a stop over? I know that from Sydney to Los Angeles is about 13 or 14 hours and then another 5 hours to Detroit. The flight from LA to Detroit can also be broken up with a stop over in another city. I don't have any tips to make the flight seem shorter but it really isn't too bad, especially if you get a flight through the night and will be able to sleep for the majority of the flight.
