How long will my flight from Detroit to Brisbane, Australia, be?
In early July, I will be flying with Qantas from Detroit, Michigan, and stopping in L.A., California, then flying to Brisbane, Australia. About how long will this flight take? (not including the time I'm stopped in LA)

It really depends on your flight but i know from LA to sydney is 15hrs, so depending on the flight path of the plane you are looking at no less than 15 hrs.

be advised Qantas doesnt fly from Detroit! only from Los Angeles! sure hope you didn't expect Qantas in Detroit! its mostly like a code-share with another airline (probably either northwest or American)

Kelly, it takes about 6 hours from Detroit to Los Angeles, and about 15 hours from Los Angeles to Brisbane, so you are looking at about 21 hours in the air. Take a good book with you. Regards, Dan
