The airline's own website most likely will have the best flights. I always check expedia.com or orbitz.com and then see which airline has the cheapest flight, then go to that airline's website, pick the same flights and 99% of the time they're the exact same price. Some airlines (I know American Airlines) guarantee that you will find the cheapest fares on their own website. Also, many of those sites charge "booking fees" of $5 or more so it's actually cheaper through the airline. And also the "low-fare" carriers usually don't offer their tickets through those sites so you have to book through the airline's website. However, JetBlue always seems to be a more expensive option for me (and sometimes considerably more)

Check Jetblue.com or nwa.com Detroit is one of Northwest's Hub While Jetblue's hubs are New York's airports

Hi, Your best bet is to check one of the meta search services that are available. Some meta searches just search and compare online travel agencies. The problem here is that most travel agencies add a fee once you get around to make the booking. Others combine searches from online travel agencies with searches direct with airlines. This is obviously the best as your search will be complete and you get the quote straight from the supplier. Try www.mytravelsearch.net for travel in Europe. (very strong in Europe with all low cost carriers available) For travel in USA try www.kayak.com and www.mytravelsearch.net. Both services offer flights, hotels and cars. You can also search nearby airport which is very helpful. I checked www.mytravelsearch.net and found $ 204 as cheapest. Cheers, P

I need a cheap flight from Detroit to Las Vegas

I need a cheap flight from Detroit to Las Vegas?
I need to get to Vegas over the Thanksgiving holiday and am finding the prices unbelievable. Does anybody know the cheapest airlines to fly during this or any other time? I have used Kayak and Expedia, etc. but most of them don't list the smaller carriers I may be able to fly less expensively.

Not sure what small carriers you are talking about. If it lands at McCarran Airport then it is either listed on those sites or on Southwest.com. Allegiant Air would be the smallest airline that flies from Detroit to Las Vegas but they will be listed on those sites. The problem you are having is the week you are traveling is the most expensive week of the entire year. What you see is as cheap as it is going to get, the prices will keep rising the longer you wait.

I can tell you the best place on the web to find out any and all the info you ever need to know about vegas Nightlife and Daylife. Please go to www.nocturnalvegasvip.com

Sign up for southwest deals/bing emails. or name your own price at priceline.com.

Wouldn't you think that an airlines could give you that information? Call the airlines of your choice. Have a nice trip.
2 :
12 to 14 hours. Depending on stop over. Also consider for international travel they want you at the airport 120 minutes b4 take off, this also varies with different airlines. These are the search parameters I used on travelocity.com Detroit, MI (DTW) to Madrid, Spain (MAD) Departing Wed, Feb 21 Returning Wed, Feb 28 cost $604 Good Luck and Have Fun!

How come no one is upset with Obama after the planned attack on inbound flight to Detroit

How come no one is upset with Obama after the planned attack on inbound flight to Detroit?
I was reading some AP articles where it said that Obama held a conference call with national security leaders and the call lasted all of 15 minutes. Then it was off to the gym. What is the plan was successful? and Obama was staying at his 4,000 a night vacation rental in Hawaii? Would average America have been upset? Please answer just the questions I posed and lets leave GW Bush out of this equation

How on Gods earth is Obama responsible for some nutter on an aircraft. Are you an opponent of Obama but a fan of Bush oh sorry we are not allowed to mention Mr. Bush are we..!!!

The main stream media says all people love the obama. So all people love the obama. Just like they did hitler back in the day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKzSDz-OpUU

Mainly because the security breach was perpetrated in another country unlike the horrendous attack on 9/11 which happened on George bush's watch and caused tremendous loss of life.I know who I'd be more angry at. So much for loading a question!Pfft!

Obama can't really do much at this point about that plane. However, he does seem to have a lot of recreational time since he became president to do things with his wife and kids. The guy is the leader of a country deeply in debt with a fragile economy and at war. (a long war at that) He should be so busy that we rarely ever see him. But I guess that is what he has chosen to do. It is almost like the climb to the top was all it was about and now that he is there he doesn't know what to do. This might sound funny but it's kind of like a dog chasing a car and then catches it. The chase is over and now what do I do?

Millions of people fly, ride trains, take buses, and use any other type of transportation to get from one place to the next, and let's be realistic, no country, president, intelligence, can catch all who try to make a terrorist act, so that is why no one should be upset with Obama, be for real.
6 :
Because there is nothing Obama could have done to prevent it; all of the security measures failed because a ticket agent in Amsterdam and his/her manager fell for the "Sudanese refugee" ruse and allowed the terrorist on the plane---without a passport, compounding failures by Dutch immigration officials to actually ensure that this terrorist had a passport---he didn't. If the plan were successful, anyone blaming Obama would have been wrong.
