1 hr lay over in narita from manila to detroit both via Delta

1 hr lay over in narita from manila to detroit both via Delta?
My flight via Delta leaving manila is at 8:05 AM arriving in Narita at 1:10PM (my Itinerary). My connecting flight to detroit will leave Narita @ 2:30 PM. Are Delta terminal gates just within one area? Won't I be late in my connecting flight to Detroit granted that my layover allowance is only 1.20 hours?

If the gates are in the same terminal you should not have a problem. Usually 1 hour is enough time to make connections. Look at the ticket and make sure they are in the same terminal.
2 :
Whereas most people will be getting off in Narita , those of you who have ongoing flights will be directed to your departure gate via the transfer lounge. If you are still worried make sure that the people who you purchased your ticket from show all details on the itinerary, including transfer.The chances are that the plane you arrive on will be the one you leave on , so you will be directed to a transfer lounge and will be called back onto the plane when it is loaded with fuel, luggage , food etc;
3 :
yes because they have stop over due the plane change

Yes they are within the same area. However you have to go through transit security check (metal detector, xray scanner & id check). Don't worry they usually hold the next plane for connecting passengers. As a long time Northwest/Delta flier I am very well familiar with NRT T1 and their operations.

Good for you! Your luggage will be checked to San Francisco so you don't need to get it until you get there. There are lots of good signs that tell you where the baggage claim is and once you get there a sign over each carousel will tell you what flight the luggage is coming from. When you are in Detroit if you are on the same airline you may have only a short walk to the next gate. There are monitors that tell all the departures and the gate #'s and there are people at each gate to ask. Thousands of people go through the airport every day and most have never been to that airport before so there are lots of signs. Have a good flight!

Ummm....you should speak to a travel agent not some random stranger on the internet.
2 :
Your best bet might be to try the website of Spirit Airlines: http://www.spirit.com which has numerous reasonably-priced daily flights out of Detroit to Tampa and St. Petersburg (not sure about Sarasota)
3 :
Like cw21dlr mentioned, Spirit flies from Detroit to Tampa, but you might want to check a travel site like Kayak.com as well. You can enter flexible dates (i.e. 1 day before and after April 3 and 1 day after April 9), and it will search most major airlines like US Airways and Delta to find the cheapest option and/or best schedule. Good luck and enjoy your trip to Florida! :)
4 :
NO THERE ARE NO FLIGHT,S OPERATING FROM DETROIT.IT WAS IN OPERATION TILL LAST FEB,BUT NOW IT IS OFF THE CHART.
5 :
that's nice... what about it? there are a lot of airlines out there and i am sure they or the other travel sites will be more then happy.

Their second flight will be changed to a later flight.
2 :
the airline will put them up in a hotel for a night and give them money for taxi just tell them to cry as much as possible
3 :
call the airline they are flying on and ask them when the next connecting flight will be . I am sure they will be glad to help you . good luck .
4 :
Call the airline before you head for the airport. You will be told when they will be placed on another flight. You can also go on-line to get flight information. Ask them for the link.
5 :
Under the Warsaw convention if you miss your connecting flight they have to transfer you onto the next available flight, if it is a certain amount of hours wait they must provide you with Meal and Drink Vouchers, if it is not until the next day, they must provide you with Accommodation, Meal Vouchers and Drink Vouchers.
6 :
looking out my window now.....I am about 5 miles south of DFW. Let me assure you, they will be delayed. (NASTY out there) Should they miss the connecting flight, the airline will find them space on a later flight. Wait to hear from them before going to the airport.
7 :
first check the flight's schedule on the airlines web site, usually under "flight status" also you can even follow the flight path through: http://flightaware.com/ http://www.flightview.com/ that will help you with the pick-up arrangements. Then if they missed their connection, they will be travelling on the next available flight, this is tricky as depends on the airlines availability to put them on the "firts plane" Here they should call you as soon as they arrive to DTW/Detroit to confirm their connecting fligt to destination. FYI: If they are arriving less than half an hour between connecting flights, they most probably miss their connection.
8 :
An airline is required by law to get you from your point of origin to your destination. As long as your in-laws bought both flights from the same airline, or from ones that share services you have nothing to worry about except what time they get there. If they miss their connecting flight, the airline will put then on the next one even if that is the next day.
9 :
The airline is not required to get the passenger a hotel is the misconnect is weather related. They are required to get them from point a to point b at the next possible flight.
10 :
Is it northwest? After the Dallas flight takes off, the airline will know their estimated arrival time in Detroit. You can call the airline and ask that your in-laws be put on the next available flight. Hopefully this way they will get right onto the next flight and not have to battle with other passengers who missed the same connection for limited seats.
11 :
If the connecting airline is the same airline and on the same itinerary, the gate agent on the connecting end will usually "protect" some seats for them (save seats for them on a later flight, if any.) If they are separate airlines, such as a Southwest flight out of DAL (Love Field) and Northwest flight out of Detroit, then there's nothing that will be done for them and they simply miss their flight. If the flight is delayed due to the airline's fault (mechanical or crew problems) then the airline will issue a hotel and meal voucher, if needed. The best way to determine is to goto the airline's website and look up their contract of carriage.

My daughter's flight was suppose to leave Dallas at 9 for Orange County California. Since she hasn't answered her cell phone I guess her flight is running late. She's connecting to Seattle so I hope she isn't stuck there too long. She hates lay overs.
13 :
Every case is different. If the flight was delayed for weather, your options are less. Typcialy they will be booked on a later flight. Your best bet is to call the airline.
14 :
If the connecting flight is with the same airline ( or a partner airline such as US Airways and United) they will put you on a later flight, no big deal. If it is a different airline and not an airline partner, that is your problem.
