I'm looking at flight from Detroit to Tampa (possible computer error)

I'm looking at flight from Detroit to Tampa (possible computer error)?
I've been looking at flights from detroit to tampa for about a week or two now for the end of February. if you fly allot you might know that Detroit is big NWA now Delta hub. the prices have stuck around $229 for a nonstop, suddenly today it shot up to $550+ and thats for any one to Florida up through I've looked as far out as april. (and they all have connections in Atlanta) could this be a computer error or can they be getting rid of a route or WHAT I've been looking at the same flights for a few weeks, and all of the flights said Delta flight operated under Northwest and that has seemed to disappear. I've also looked at flights to Minneapolis another hub for NWA and it has a connection in Cincinnati for over (with tax and airport fees) $1000 and seriously there prices double competitors they can't compete on that route

Depending on how far out it is booked, who knows. Also, Delta had a fare sale up until Jan. 21 or the 22nd, depending on destinations. You should have booked a few days ago, sorry.
2 :
Go to priceline.com and orbitz.com and cheaptickets.com and search. Be flexible as to dates and time of day for best deals.
3 :
go to BookMe. You can compare prices on all the major travel sites from one location. It's the only way you can guarantee the cheapest prices online.

Apx 8 to 9 Hours......

If you take a nonstop flight -- which you can do with Northwest Airlines or KLM -- your flying time from Amsterdam to Detroit will be about 8 hours and 45 minutes. If you take a flight that stops somewhere -- and you'll have a greater range of airlines to choose from if you do, since United, Air France, Lufthansa, British Airways, Delta, Continental, and U.S. Air to name but a few all make this journey -- you're obviously looking at a longer flight. It'll be somewhere in the environment of 12 or 13 hours, with the most popular places to make a stop being Frankfurt, Washington D.C., or Chicago. The shortest stopover flight is the one run by Air France that requires you to change planes in Paris. That takes 11 hours and 5 minutes. Hope this helps -- have a safe flight!

Eight hours eastwards to Schipol and 9 hours on the way back to Detroit.

depends what air company flies you! Don't be afraid!! You will get food enough and drink too! I know the domestic hospitality is under the bug ass. They wanted to charge me for $7 for a cup of coke on the way from Atlanta to NYC. They are horrible!!!!!!

I you are flying over a few ours then you should a meal or two (depending on length of flight). Put it like this, when you get on th eplane set your watchto the time of your destination. Then whenever it's lunchtime or dinner time you should be served a meal. Drinks are available with the meal, and they shuold also offer drinks inbetween meals. I've only flew UK to US, 7 hours, and gotten a meal within an hour of taking off and then another about an hour before landing (depending on th eairline, sometimes a snack too!) We get a drink with the meals. Some airlines will charge you for alcoholic drinks, some arilines will charge you for every drink that is not with a meal.

The food on Northwest is nasty. If you are going to the Phils, fly Asiana

When you fly long-haul international it's a different ball game, forget US domestic. As said, it will vary a bit between airlines but most follow the following schema: 1. Drink round about 30-60 min after take off 2. Meal service 3. Another drink run 4. Meal service 1-2 hours before arriving Most airlines do not charge for drinks meals, it's included in the ticket price. You do not mention which airline you're flying with. Check their web page for service details. Also check out http://www.flyertalk.com and its forum, lots of frequent flyers from all over the world discussing everything airline related.

Long enough for what. The airport isn't that big and your luggage is transfered automaticly.
2 :
Probably. It's impossible to predict weather delays and air traffic delays, so nothing is guaranteed. I once gave myself a 2 1/2 hour connection and nearly missed it because bad weather had backed up the flights so badly. However, 63 minutes is generally enough assuming that you don't need to change terminals. Since you didn't mention which city you connect in or which airline, no one can tell you that.
3 :
Most likely.......just head right for the gate......Denver isn't that big......
4 :
Plenty of time. I have had much worse.
5 :
The layover is a reasonable amount of time. Alot better than worse compared to my layover in Atlanta from Tampa to Baltimore which was only 10 minutes due to inclement weather in Atlanta back in March. It should give you enough time if the flight leaves and arrives on time to get something to eat and lounge around near the gate.

Yes, that's plenty of time. Of course that's assuming your flight coming in isn't delayed significantly but there's no way to predict that for sure. But an hour is plenty of time to connect in Denver.
