How can I get a flight from Jax. to Detroit under $200.00?
I have Vacation time from Dec 8-16 any advice?

id recommend looking at orbitz and other stes like it. thats what i do! :DD

spiritair.com and or usa3000.com also try jetblue or flyted.com Cheapest airfare I can find really. They are not on travel sites so you need to go direct to their web sites. Spirit air has a hub in Detroit Neither fly direct from Jacksonville so you will have to travel to Ft Lauderdale or Ft Myers.

Try www.airtran.com even the b-class dont cost that much.

your best bet is to go to priceline.com and put a bid for $200.00 i flew from miami to san francisco non stop for $150.00 when i named my own price i think it will be your best bet and if they dont accept your offer you wont be charged for anything.

NWA (Northwest Airline) has a hub here in Detroit and on their website (nwa.com), they have a round trip from JAX to DTW and the cheapest one happens to be on Dec. 8. It returns on Dec. 15. The roundtrip is $240. Hope this helps, but check out other travel websites such as expedia, travelocity, priceline, and hotwire first. Also, check other airline's websites. Hope this helps.

Try sidestep.com. Cheapest I see is $257 with 1 stop on American and $275 with no stops on Northwest though.

for those dates i found tickets for around 250 on NWA from kayak.com.. i would bet that if you go to priceline.com and offer 200, it would accept your offer

How far in advance should I book my flight to Orlando from Detroit...not traveling until October.?
One airline has seats for as low as $90 one way. For 6 people the total came to be about $1400 round trip. This seems to be a decent price. However, I could wait for Southwest specials since they don't charge for baggage.

If u had your choice of airports, which would you choose as a mid-flight airport: Detroit or Minn, Minnesota
If u had your choice of airports, which would you choose as a mid-flight airport: Detroit or Minn, Minnesota?
Going from Birmingham, AL, then either Detroit or Minn, then on to my destination of Green Bay..

Fly through Minneapolis if all things are equal.....just in case something happens with delays, cancellation, or whatever, Appleton (ATW) airport is only about 25 minutes away and there are several flights that go into Appleton as well as Green Bay....however, flying through Detroit, Delta's only option is Green Bay. I assume you are flying Northwest or Delta...If that's the case, I would go with the Northwest option as there are more "back up" options in case of a problem....(it is not uncommon for planes to land at the other airport and bus passengers between if there are weather problems, etc)

If you chose Delta, you are flying NW...and if you fly NW, you are on Delta. They are the same airline :) Chose the one with the least amount of layover. Unless you are there for 5 or 6 hours, the airport itself wont matter one bit. Most layovers are between 1hr or 2. So go through the one with the shortest layover :)
