I'm not quite sure, but I do know from the northern hemisphere to Australia it can take anywhere from 16-27 hours. Since Sydney is all the way on the east side of australia towards the bottom, and youre on the east of the US towards the top, I'd guess closer to the 27 hour mark.

Depends on which way you are flying. If you are going west then it is longer because the world is revolving west. If you go on an eastern flight the trip is shorter. I found this out when I went to Scotland from New Zealand ... the trip from NZ to Heathrow was longer than coming back. Why go to Australia ..... NZ is only two hours flying time away .... and we have better scenery and weather. Anyway ..... have a great trip/holiday. Why don't you ring up a travel agent and find out what way is the fastest.

Enough time for a connecting flight
Enough time for a connecting flight?
I am flying out of Minneapolis to Fort Lauderdale. The connecting flight is in Detroit with 37 minutes between the flight. Is that enough time? I am flying with Northwest

thats enough time but u gotta hustle i've done 15 minutes on opposite ends of the airport and i ran, so remeber to wear some good shoes good luck

Yes, however you will need to be one of the first ones off the plane. Northwest has 128+/- gates occupying concourses A, B, and C in McNamara Terminal, it may take you a bit to walk to the next gate.

Leave at least one hour between connecting flights. What happens if your flight into Detroit is delayed by 45 minutes? You may not be able to make the connecting flight then.

not long less then a 1 hour that im sure maybe 30 mintutes or less

It's only about a 4-5 hour drive....so I'd say you'd be in the air for about 45 minutes. Not bad at all.
