Hola. Good luck getting a direct nonstop flight here from Detroit at this time of year. Go to Expedia.com and type in your flights. They will give you the cheapest, quickest route and tell you how long it takes.

depends on how long your lay over is. i went from milwaukee at 8:00 to houston at around 11:15 left there at 12:35 and arrived in cabo at 3:00 . have fun- i went last month for my honeymoon and I had the best time of my life, i can't wait to go back!!! And by the way, i booked everything through a travel agent, who set up everything with apple vacations, so all my transportation was taken care of to and from the airport.

I don't see any non-stop flights from DTW to YVR, Detriot to Vancouver BC. Looks like if you choose NW, you'd be NW to Seattle and then up on Horizon Air most likely. The flight from Detriot to Seattle appears to be about 5 hours and the flight from Seattle to Vancouver is 1 hour. BC Place Stadium is located in the city of Vancouver, you'll fly into the Vancouver BC airport. Enjoy your trip!

& there are two airports around Edmonton, which one is closer?

One of them is downtown- it's called Edmonton City Center Airport-unfortunately this airport doesn't handle (major)commercial air traffic anymore because of the noise and so on. So you'll have to land at Edmonton International.Now the next thing is..according to flightstats.com there are no direct flights between Detroit and Edmonton.So you'll either have to fly to Chicago or Toronto first and then get on another plane to Edmonton. From Detroit to Chicago is about a 1 hour flight.Chicago to Edmonton is close to 4 hours...so going that way about 5 hours altogether-not factoring in any layover between flights. If you fly to Toronto from Detroit it's about an hour...then you're going to have to give yourself enough time between flights to claim your baggage and go through Canadian customs in Toronto... then to Edmonton...also about 4 hours- so either way you're looking at about 5 to 5 and a half hours flying time.(this route is actually the cheaper of the two)

How much in tax deductions will you earn? After your travel what do you have to show for it financially? I think the best travel website is the one you own. If you are willing to spend hundred of dollars for something with no return for your investment then watching the presentation at the following link for free might be worth your time. Should Mutallab be given rights as afforded under our Constitution and be tried like a common criminal, or should he be tried as an enemy combatant?

He should be tried like the criminal he is. The shoe bomber Richard Reid was tried that way under Bush and I didn't hear a peep out of conservatives. He was convicted and is in a supermax prison. Now that Obama is in office they start whining...

I certainly hope so, as a Supreme Court Case in 2004 determined that even enemy combatants should be given due process rights.

He committed a crime in the US, and will be tried and convicted without a problem under regular US law. His situation is completely different from the Gitmo terrorists who were captured under arms in a foreign country. There are VERY severe doubts about the likelihood of obtaining their conviction under US law of a US crime. First is the problem of if what they did was even a violation of any US criminal law at all, given that it all took place overseas, and second is the problem that the evidence against them was gathered by soldiers and intelligence agents, not cops, and accordingly the strict rules governing chains of custody to preserve it's admissibility at trial may not have been followed. If the defense lawyers are able to point to a break in the chain of custody (Documents left in an unlocked APC while the soldiers fought a gun battle outside, to use one actual example) then any evidence that is affected may not be admissible in court.
